Who We Are
The Upper Willamette Community Development Corporation (UWCDC) is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit community development organization founded with the mission to:
"Improve the quality of life in the greater Oakridge/Westfir area by partnering with other community organizations to coordinate community service programs for all citizens."
The Oakridge Keg & Cask Festival is the largest UWCDC fundraiser, supplying the needed funds to sustain the continued operation of the Oakridge Food Box program.
Our Impact
According to our latest annual data from 2024:
- 1,380 individuals served across 655 households
- 24% of individuals served are children ages 0-18
- 44% of individuals served are seniors 50 and older
- The Food Box provides over 215,000 pounds of free food to our community
- We serve over 30% of the community's population
Even though UWCDC partners with Food for Lane County and receives grant funds from Lane County Health & Human Services and The United Way of Lane County, your donation will make a difference to help fill the Food Box's ever-increasing need.
