The Upper Willamette Community Development Corporation (UWCDC) is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit community development organization was founded with the mission to:
“Improve the quality of life in the greater Oakridge/Westfir area by partnering with other community organizations to coordinate community service programs for all citizens.”
Your thoughtful donation helps support the UWCDC’s efforts to provide food in our community to families who are not always able to put food on the table.
Oakridge Keg & Cask Festival is the largest UWCDC (Upper Willamette Community Development Corporation) fundraiser supplying the needed funds to sustain the continued operation of the Oakridge Food Box program.
According to our latest annual data from 2023:
1,240 individuals are served in
659 households
24% of the individuals served are children ages 0-18
28% of the individuals served are seniors 55 and older
The Food Box provides over 200,000 pounds of free food to over 1200 people in the Oakridge and Westfir communities, nearly a quarter are children.
That is over 30% of the community's population!
Even though UWCDC partners with Food for Lane County, and receives grant funds from Lane County Health & Human Services, and The United Way of Lane County,
